The Barren Grasslands is a location that appears in FAITH: Chapter II and its prologue. It is a mostly barren expanse of land that surrounds Snake Meadow Hill Church and the cornfield.
History[]
September 22nd - 27th, 1987[]
In John Ward's dream, he manages to find his way through the cornfield and into the grasslands.
He first finds the corpse of one of the church's dogs, Greta, being watched by two stick dolls.
Further on, he finds six graves facing a statue of Saint William. The graves belong to the first batch of orphan children taken in by the church, who ran off into the cornfield and were slaughtered by an evil creature. Two more stick dolls appear.
Finally, he finds the Snake Meadow Hill Church, and enters it.
September 28th, 1987[]
In John's worst nightmare yet, the barren grasslands can be found just outside of Snake Meadow Hill Church, but it contains nothing of interest.
