WELCOME, BLASPHEMER.

The Basement Demon is a Demon that appears in FAITH: Chapter II and its Prologue.

Biography[]

Appearance[]

He has a gray and bloodied body, a long snake-like head and neck, and red eyes.

September 22 to 27, 1987[]

In the Chapter II Prologue, John experiences a dream that takes him to Snake Meadow Hill Church. After solving a puzzle, which involves going into rooms of the church in a particular order, the basement to the church will be accessible through a stairway in the nave. The basement is pitch-dark, but a flashlight can be seen on the floor and picked up. Upon entering the next room, John will encounter the Basement Demon, which will announce "WELCOME, BLASPHEMER". He will stand in place for a short time before eventually teleporting away. He will slowly drift towards John in the darkness, sometimes teleporting more while the beam of the flashlight is pointed away from him. John must carefully maneuver the flashlight around the room in order to find the Demon and deal enough damage with his crucifix to defeat him.

September 28, 1987[]

The Basement Demon returns in another dream John has, this time being found in the Candy Tunnels after picking up the flashlight yet again. His attack patterns are the same as in the Prologue. After defeating him, John can make his way toward Malphas' House.
