The Confessional Booth is a location that appears in FAITH: Chapter II and its Prologue. It is located within a room of the Snake Meadow Hill Church.
Prologue[]
The confessional booth appears in the Prologue but John cannot enter it. When exorcising the various items throughout the church, a Thrall will run out of it to attack John, leaving one of the doors open. If the Crucifix is held up as they approach they will merely run past him.
Chapter II[]

It appears again in Chapter II but can now be entered. John will begin to confess his sins, and a voice will reply back to him from the other side.
John's Confession[]
- John: "Pray for me, Father, for I have sinned."
- Voice: "What sins have you come to confess?"
- John: "I tried to save a girl from evil, but my fears overcame me. I turned my back on the ministry... and broke my vows to God. A year later, the girl reached out to me again. But in the end, I couldn't save her. I left her to die. I am sorry for these and my past sins."
- Voice: "Thou hast said well. Here is thy penance: BRING THE CHILD TO ME. Perform this act of contrition... and thou shalt have the peace thou seekest. Give thanks to the Lord for he is good."
- John: "For His mercy endures forever."
Penance (Ending III: Initiation)[]
After this conversation has concluded, John will be in a new hallway of the church, accessed via a hidden passageway within the booth. From here, he can exit the church and bring the Doomed Child to the confessional, just as the voice requested of him. A demonic hand will emerge from the curtain and pull the child inside, followed by John. He will now have to fight the Confession Booth Demon, who is identical to the secret Mirror Demon boss that can be fought in Chapter I.
Defeating the demon will yield a new note that offers more insight into John's character. Offering the child to the demon is the second step needed to get the Initiation Ending.
