History[]

September 28, 1987[]

John arrives at Gallup Cemetery early in the morning after exiting the forest. As he walks through the gate, he encounters the Save Family Tomb. In it, he finds three slumped figures sitting on the benches. John approaches the mirror at the end of the hall, where a reflection of himself smiles as he presents a key. Suddenly, three ghosts appear and flee the tomb. John must then navigate the graveyard to find and banish three demons.

To the right is a U-shaped passage with several tombstones and a statue. At the other end lies a purple skull that can be exorcised to open up a gate. Going through the gate leads to a small room with a small group of graves and a tree outside the area. Suddenly, a wall of Demon Hands appear blocking the exit. Behind the tree appears the Umbilical Cord Demon, which attacks John by flying in a waving motion at him. However, John manages to defeat it, being awarded a note of a woman who caught sight of a strange woman while she was pregnant, with the strange woman becoming pregnant after the former loses the baby.

To the left are two routes. Going to the south of the cemetery leads to a foggy area, where the Mist Demon spawns, flying between the fog clouds to hid from and attack John. However, it ultimately is easily banished. Upon its defeat, a note appears, detailing a strange ritual some of a relative's friends put him through before demanding something in return.

In the northwest area lies a maze. John must follow the directions the statues are pointing in the room below (right, up, left, up) to navigate the maze. John is then ambushed by the Graveyard Maze Demon, which slowly flies towards him. John manages to best the demon, which spawns the final note upon its disappearance, which details someone finally being freed of an abusive, alcoholic father and aggressive bullies, now having unknown, dark powers and knowledge.

John then returns to the Save Family Tomb, where the statue outside takes on a bizarre appearance. Inside, John sees his reflection with the key, before it stabs itself in the eye, causing similar injury to John, which leaves a trail of blood where he walks. John then walks north, finding the northern gate, and unlocks it with the key, leading to a small crypt of various graves and statues. John then finds a seemingly innocuous area, until a demon suddenly shifts out of its disguise as a tree and runs away. The next room is filled with trees, all of which are normal trees. After that lies the Snake Meadow Hill Church.

Going back to the starting area and drawing a pentagram with the rocks in the way one of the notes details while John is still bleeding will summon Pentarox, which will charge at John. Banishing Pentarox completes one of the three prerequisites for the Initiation ending.
