Gurneys are objects that appear in the Clinic in FAITH: Chapter III.

They are metal stretchers with wheels that are used for transporting patients in a hospital or clinic.

History[]

Before October 28th, 1987[]

The gurneys have likely been used in the clinic for as long at it has been in operation.

Sometime near or after the end of the clinic's operation, several mutilated corpses are wrapped up in white sheets and placed onto the gurneys hidden in the clinic's basement.

October 28th, 1987[]

John Ward is tasked by Father Garcia to investigate this clinic in search of the summoning place of a powerful demon named Malphas. John sneaks past a police officer into the clinic, and attempts to remove some wooden boards blocking the door to the basement, but is ambushed by a creature named Jeffrey.

John then wakes up in the basement strapped onto a gurney. Hearing Jeffrey approaching while unable to defend himself, John wheels his way behind a curtain to hide from him. When Jeffrey's back is turned, he quickly wheels his way out of the room. Jeffrey begins following John out into the hallway. John must hide again, this time among a collection of corpses on gurneys.

Suddenly, the police officer from outside comes down the stairs and finds John strapped into a gurney. He frees him and takes him back outside for questioning, but not before another run-in with Jeffrey in the lobby, who John and the officer are able to defeat. Before the officer can arrest John, a group of "hippies" have set fire to his police car, prompting the officer to chase after them. Here, John is able to reenter the clinic and complete his investigation.

Noticing some new blood writing in the basement reading: "JOIN US", he straps himself back into the gurney and lies among the corpses once again. A door suddenly opens, and one of the corpses seats itself up from the gurney, and pushes John through the door and down a flight of stairs. The gurney hits the bottom of the stairs and is destroyed, freeing John and allowing him to venture deeper into the secret passage, where he meets the Mother and Child.
