The Home of Malphas (labelled "DOMUS MALPHAS", also referred to as Inner Sanctum) is a location that appears in FAITH: Chapter II.

It lies hidden deep within the darkness of the Candy Tunnel.

History[]

March 19th, 1934(?)[]

Miriam Bell has a Second Death ritual performed on her here, as evidenced by the markings of a ritual site.

September 28th, 1987[]

In John Ward's worst nightmare yet, he makes his way through a dark sewer tunnel and happens upon the inner sanctum. There is a locked door in front of him, as well as an opening to another room on the right, with blood writing on the floor reading: "they hate the light".

The next room is full of blind ones who begin to pursue John, being driven away only by the light from his flashlight. Another opening on the opposite end of the room is blocked by a row of demon hands. John locates and exorcizes a portrait of Miriam on the wall, causing the demon hands to retreat.

In the next room, the key for the locked door lies on an elevated surface. To the north is another small opening, leading to a room with a note blocked by three seals. These seals represent the heinous actions John will have needed to take up to this point to receive the praise of the UNSPEAKABLE, each one disappearing should any of the objectives have been completed.

Back in the first room, John uses the key to open the locked door, where he is greeted by Miriam herself. Before Miriam is able to attack, she is thwarted by a shadowy, gray priest, who then informs John that he can banish Miriam with his help.

Walking past the site of Miriam's Second Death ritual, the priest tells John that there was not much he was able to do on the night of September 21st, 1987, and that maybe Amy's soul is now at rest.

Miriam awaits the two priests in the final chamber. The boss fight begins, and the gray priest recites the 91st Psalm as John protects him from a wave of oncoming thralls. After a long battle, Miriam transforms into the UNSPEAKABLE in a last ditch display of power, prompting John to wake up from the nightmare.
