Jeffrey is a demonic creature that appears in the Clinic in FAITH: Chapter III.
Biography[]
This character's backstory is overall vague, and little is known about him since he's only mentioned once in a note. Otherwise, Jeffrey looks almost human, the difference is that he's red, has a droopy head, uneven feet, hands, and beady eyes. When repelled by a crucifix or shot by a pistol he will screech. He's very strong since it can break through windows, planks, and withstand a couple of bullet shots.

John is instructed by Father Garcia to investigate a child birthing clinic that Amy used to intern in hopes of finding Nate and Jason Martin. Due to a police officer blocking the entrance, John sneaks into the clinic.
Once inside, John finds a fax that was supposed to be for somebody named Rhonda from Gary. In it, Gary tells her to make sure somebody named Jeffrey is out of sight and to contact him or Tiffany whenever a message is left from the Department of Health.
After picking up a crowbar, John attempts to get rid of wooden planks on a wall. However, this creature jumps out from the door and knocks him down. Although he tries to crawl out of the way, the creature drags him and knocks him unconscious. Jeffrey (somehow) puts John on a gurney and takes him into a operating room littered with dead bodies.
When John comes to, he can hear the wails from the creature in the distance. He has to hide behind a curtain before Jeffrey comes back and kills him. Sneaking his way through his sight, the police officer from outside comes downstairs and finds John. The officer unstraps him from the gurney and asks him what's going on. They plan to question him when they get out of the clinic. Interestingly, if John decides to go back into the operating room, Jeffrey is gone. Although this is speculation, the creature likely escaped from a vent inside the room.
Walking towards the boarded front entrance, the creature jumps out from one of the windows. Using the crucifix will slow down the creature but not defeat him. To win this battle, John is supposed to slow him down while the police officer aims and shoots. When shot at, the creature will wail and escapes from a window, then come back through a different one. Shooting him enough times will physically kill him, with his lifeless corpse left on the ground.

Gary and John will engage in battle after a short conversation. There's a chance that Gary can summon apparitions of demons and entities that John has encountered in the past, including this creature. He cannot be repelled by the crucifix; John has to get out of the way. If not, he will knock him down and drop his crucifix. If he doesn't grab his cross in time, Gary will catch him and perform the Second Death ritual on him, killing him. Otherwise, Jeffrey never appears again.
Implication[]
At first, it was speculated that Jeffrey is whatever this creature is supposed to be since that name is only referred once in a fax note. However, we can truly confirm that Jeffrey is not another unseen human throughout the series and is this creature instead (either being originally a creature all along or turned into one):
- The track that plays when the creature bursts through the door is called "HeresJeffrey.mp3"
- The filename for this creature's corpse is titled "Jeffrey". (The other sprites of it are called "Clinic Horror".)
- The changelog of the 1.1 update for The Unholy Trinity refers to the creature as Jeffrey.
- "Fix for bug where Jeffery aggros toward John immediately after spawning into Gurney sequence"
At the least we know that the creature's name is Jeffrey. However, we don't know if Jeffrey was a part of the Department of Health that was actively investigating the clinic or was a creature from all the dubious abortions Gary and his cult have been doing. Either way, it sounds like Jeffrey was very aggressive to whatever Gary was planning so the cult tried to make sure he's kept within distance of the area.

Trivia[]
- The track "HeresJeffrey" is more than likely a reference to the line "Here's Johnny!" from the movie The Shining.
- Jeffrey and Michael are the only enemies within the series that don't fade away when banished or killed; They leave corpses behind.
- The Cultists, Thralls, Umbilical Cord, Mist, and Graveyard Maze demons would've had the same trait, but they leave a splatter of blood and not a corpse.
- Jeffrey's various groans sounds very similar to the cries the stillborns make during the Mother demon fight. This might be proof that he's a stillborn and not an adult-turned-Demon.
- Jeffrey might be a Human-turned-Demon since he leaves a corpse behind when defeated; just like Michael, and since Michael was (once) a human being, Jeffrey might be similar to him.
