Pentarox is a demon that appears in FAITH: Chapter II. A similar-looking demon (the Stalker) also appears in Chapter III.
Appearance[]
Pentarox has a blood-red, goat-like head with black eyes, and a gray, masculine body.
In Chapter III, the demon is now referred to as the "Stalker". Its appearance is identical to the Pentarox, except for its head which is now entirely gray with glowing red eyes.
History[]
September 28th, 1987[]
During John Ward's nightmare, John watches his reflection in the mirror stab itself in the eye with a key, causing his own eye to start bleeding on the ground wherever we walks. At this point, John has the option to receive the UNSPEAKABLE's blessing by conjuring his demon. By going back to the place where John's dream started and drawing a pentagram in the rocks with his blood, starting from the top-left point and then down, Pentarox will be summoned.
Pentarox will wait a few seconds before rushing John from offscreen. John must ward off the demon with his cross before it reaches him, where it will retreat in a random direction and wait a few seconds before striking again. This must be done three times in order to banish the demon and complete the first requirement for the Initiation ending.
October 30th, 1987[]
In Garyland, John must find the three keys to open the statue of Moloch. One of the keys is being guarded by a blind one, where a note will instruct John to play a game of Red Light, Green Light with it.
Once the key is collected, the stalker will appear from behind the blind one and begin slowly approaching John. John must try to keep his distance from the stalker while simultaneously remaining still when the blind one is looking at him, as per the Red Light, Green Light rules. John will be safe from both the stalker and blind one once he makes it to the stairs on the opposite end of the hallway.

During John's fight with Gary in Garyland, he has a chance of summoning apparitions of past foes, including Pentarox.
