The Sacrificed Bird is an animal that appears in FAITH: Chapter III.

Biography[]

While the exact species is unknown, it is thought to be a male eastern bluebird.[1] It appears to have a broken neck.

October 28th, 1987[]

John Ward is sent to investigate the clinic that Amy Martin used to intern in search of her brothers and the summoning place of Malphas. With the front entrance to the clinic being boarded up and guarded by a police officer, John looks for another way in.

He may find this bird at the end of an alleyway, where he may approach it to get a better look. Walking away, the bird's head starts to wiggle. Rechecking it again, a thrall appears to stalk John from just around the corner. Approaching the thrall will cause them to flee, saying "I HAD NO CHOICE!", implying they were the one who sacrificed it.

It is unknown exactly why this thrall had tried to sacrifice the bird, though it can be suspected that the Eternal Order of the Second Death was still experimenting with animal sacrifices for the Second Death ritual instead of infants, similar to the fox.

After defeating Jeffrey and going back outside, the police officer spots a crowd of rioting thralls around his burning cop car. He chases them in pursuit. If John decides to return to the alleyway, the sacrificed bird is replaced with the police officer's body.
